The Keystone Story

Every story has a beginning. Ours started back in 1991 when Rick Kenny, MAI, SRA founded Kenny and Associates. His dream of building a better future for the appraisal industry through integrity and quality is the very backbone of who we are today.  

Rebranded as Keystone Valuations in 2022, we are at the forefront of change for the appraisal industry, prepared to serve our clients nationwide as the appraisal industry evolves.  

Our commitment is to deliver an excellent work product at industry-leading turn times. Our focus has been and will always be assisting our clients and enabling them to make strategic and educated business decisions about their investments and assets.

Meet the Keystone Team

Doug Kenny

Doug Kenny, CEO

Doug Kenny, MAI has 12 years of real estate appraisal experience in commercial and special-use real estate. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and since beginning his career, he has been one of the youngest to receive the professional designation of MAI from the Appraisal Institute. He brings his engineering expertise to real estate by integrating advanced statistical analysis into each appraisal report. After successfully completing professional coursework in mineral properties, Doug has had the opportunity to work with a variety of mining experts such as geologists, quarry operators, and marketing experts, ultimately becoming an expert in the field of subsurface mineral valuations.  Holding active appraisal licenses in 15 states across the United States, he’s also qualified as an expert witness in legal cases involving real estate values.

Richard Kenny

Richard Kenny, COO

Richard Kenny, MBA has 6 years of real estate appraisal experience in commercial, residential and special-use real estate. He graduated from the United States Air Force Academy. Upon graduation, he served as an Active-Duty Air Force Officer, achieving the rank of Captain with a specialty in the negotiation and administration of Government Contracts. Additionally, Richard deployed to the Horn of Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Upon the completion of his active-duty career, he transitioned into the Air Force Reserves and quickly achieved the rank of Major while beginning his career as an appraiser. Since beginning his career, Richard quickly expanded his appraisal skills becoming licensed as a Certified General Appraiser in pursuit of his MAI and SRA designations. He brings his contracting and management expertise to real estate by integrating advanced analysis and a methodical business-centric approach into each appraisal report.  He holds an active appraisal license in Georgia.
